About Globelink FRASER70

“Globelink Fraser 70” 2016 managed by Endurance Nature, was held on 27 th August, 2016 at Fraser Hill, Pahang, Malaysia. This was the second event for Globelink Container Line (M) Sdn Bhd be the title sponsorship of the event organised by Endurance Nature after Globelink UM24. Globelink remain committed to provide our staffs as volunteers during the event.

By extending the sponsorship, Globelink is committed to the shared vision of Endurance Nature of bringing quality Ultra Marathon events of diverse nature to the Malaysia ultra running community and also encouraging healthy lifestyle among our staffs.

There’s 2 running categories in this event, Fraser22 (distance of 22km) and Fraser70 (distance of 70km). The designed running routes are for different runners based on their capability and choice. 5 hours are allocated to Fraser22 where runners have to cover the distance of 22km with 500m elevation gain. Fraser70 runners are to cover a distance of 70km with 1100m elevation gain in 12hours. Both categories are designed for ultramarathon runners.

HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN is the tagline of this race, the runners about to enjoy the beautiful course in the cool climate of Fraser Hill and its greenery surrounding. Starting from the clock tower of Fraser Hill, which is 1200m above sea level, participants get to enjoy the cooling weather of 22 to 28Celsius in the race.

“The Fraser Hill Clock Tower is iconic! Fraser Hill itself, with its cool and serene surroundings, almost feel like heaven especially in the morning. To use it as a start and finish point is like leaving the heaven at the start, and coming down to the earth...

After the U turn at Splash centre, the return journey gets physically and mentally challenging. Image of that clock tower will spur the runners on, running, walking or climbing up that last 8km of steep hills. Each step brings you closer to that heavenly tower, and when you see the tower from 200 meters away, you can't help but sprint down the home stretch to reach that clock tower... The joy would be so heavenly in the end.....reuniting with the clock tower again at the end....”
