"Globelink Fraser Ultra 2017" - Highway to Heaven was successfully held at Clock Tower, Fraser Hill, Pahang, Malaysia on 19th August 2017. This is the second year Globelink Container Line (M) Sdn Bhd proudly retained our title sponsorship of this event. Apart from being the title sponsorship, Globelink also fully supported this event with our committed and outstanding staffs as volunteers, cheer leaders for the entire event.

This year there are 3 categories for the race , 22km, 70km and 100km to suit the demands of runners based on their individual capability.

Due to overwhelming demand and the success of the previous event, the participants had increased 3 times as compared to 2016. We have participants from Singapore, Japan, Thailand, France, Australia and not forgetting our very own Malaysian making this event a successful one.

"HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN" is the tagline of this race. The beautiful course in the cool climate of Fraser Hill, multiple waterfalls along the course and its greenery surrounding are one of the major attraction apart from the challenging uphill elevation. Starting from the clock tower of Fraser Hill, which is 1200m above sea level, participants get to enjoy the cooling weather of 22 to 28 degrees Celsius in the race.

"The Fraser Hill Clock Tower is iconic! Fraser Hill itself, with its cool and serene surroundings, almost feels like heaven especially in the morning. To use it as a start and finish point is like leaving the heaven at the start, and coming down to the earth...

After the U turn at Splash centre, the return journey gets physically and mentally challenging. Image of that clock tower will spur the runners on, running, walking or climbing up that last 8km of steep hills. Each step brings you closer to that heavenly tower, and when you see the tower from 200 meters away, you can't help but sprint down the home stretch to reach that clock tower... The joy would be so heavenly in the end.....reuniting with the clock tower again at the end...."

The journey may be hellish on the highway to heaven, but we trust that "the heaven will be in your hearts and minds when you reach the iconic Clock Tower on your own two feet".
